인젝션 변압기는 광대역 어댑터이지만 전원 공급기 또는 Opamp의 리플 제거(PSRR)를 측정하는 데는 유용하지 않습니다. 이는 주입 변압기의 성능을 매우 좋게 만드는 특성으로 인해 변압기가 DC 전류에 견딜 수 없게 되기 때문입니다. 매우 작은 DC 전류(5mA 이하)도 신호 용량을 크게 줄이거나 변압기를 완전히 포화시킬 수 있습니다. 이러한 이유로 PICOTEST사의 라인 인젝터(J2120A) 같은 어댑터가 필요합니다.
라인 인젝터를 전류 프로브와 함께 사용하여 전원 공급기의 입력 임피던스를 측정할 수도 있습니다. 스위칭 전력 공급기 또는 조절기의 입력 임피던스는 음의 값이며, 이는 EMI 필터와 결합할 경우 안정성 문제가 되므로 측정은 설계, 분석 및 검증 프로세스의 중요한 부분이 됩니다. 전류 프로브를 1A/V로 설정하거나 다른 설정에 따라 결과를 스케일링해야 합니다.
